Omar Davidson, ’89, (left) and his son, Omar II, took the father-son trip of a lifetime last October when they trekked to Mount Everest’s South Base Camp in Nepal, an approximate altitude of 17,600 feet. The senior Davidson is a 2015 inductee of the U-M Men’s Track and Field Hall of Fame, having won two Big Ten championships. In fact, his school records in the indoor 4×400-meter relay, indoor 4×800-meter relay, and outdoor 4×800-meter relay stand to this day.
